Three surfaces under one roof
Most eastern suburbs venues offer synthetic grass only. Eastside has hardcourt, clay, and synthetic grass — all in the same centre. If you're a competitive player who wants to train across surfaces, this is the only spot in the area that lets you do that without travelling.
Kingsford is well connected
The 391, 393 and 395 buses all stop nearby and run frequently from the city. If you're coming from the CBD or UNSW, you won't need to drive. Street parking on Houston Rd is generally fine outside of Saturday morning sport.

Try demo racquets at the Pro Shop
Eastside has a well-stocked Pro Shop with a wide range of demo racquets. Great if you're looking to upgrade — test a few models during your hit.
Clay courts are rare in the East
Eastside is one of the only venues in the Eastern Suburbs with clay courts. If you're training for a comp on a different surface, or just want to mix it up, it's worth booking one specifically — they play very differently to hardcourt.
Play before 3pm for cheaper rates
Weekday court hire is $25/hr before 3pm vs $30/hr for evenings and weekends. A good option if your schedule is flexible.
Pickleball is available here
Eastside has dedicated pickleball courts — one of the only venues in the Eastern Suburbs to offer it. You'll need to book in advance, so contact the centre before turning up expecting a court.
