Our Story

Why we built this

Sydney's Eastern Suburbs has some of the best tennis in Australia — the courts, the weather, the talent. But the experience of actually playing here? Fragmented, gatekept, and stuck in the past.

Coaches were being pushed through volume programs by clubs that valued throughput over quality. Players were calling five different venues to find an available court. Community was happening despite the system, not because of it.

We built Tennis Network because this shouldn't be so hard. One platform for courts, coaches, and community — built by people who actually play here, for people who actually play here.

Our mission

Tennis in Sydney deserves better than the status quo

The clubs have had a monopoly for too long. We're building the platform that puts players, coaches, and community back at the centre of the game.

Sydney's tennis scene is fragmented, privatised, and quietly losing its soul. Clubs are burning out coaches. Players are bouncing between five apps to find a court. The love of the game is getting buried under corporate bureaucracy.

We're here to fix that.

01

The monopoly ends here

Every decision we make starts with one question: is this good for Sydney tennis? Not good for club revenue. Not good for shareholders. Good for the players and coaches who actually show up.

Our north star
02

Coaches deserve to love their work again

We've watched clubs push passionate coaches through volume-first programs until the spark is gone. The result is teaching stuck in a corporate textbook from 20 years ago. We back independents who actually care.

Coach first
03

Ground truth, not marketing copy

Every venue and coach is verified by people who've played the courts, experienced the sessions, and reported back honestly. No stale listings. No sponsored placements. Just the real picture.

One platform. Zero friction.

Booking a court, finding a coach, joining a social hit-up and tracking your progress shouldn't require five different apps. Fragmentation kills momentum. We built the thing that should have existed years ago.

Bastien spent 15 years coaching across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and watched the same pattern repeat — clubs burning out passionate coaches, players bouncing between fragmented systems, and the quality of teaching quietly declining. He built Tennis Network because the platform he needed simply didn't exist.

“I wanted to build something that was genuinely good for the game — not good for a club's bottom line.”

Brittany brings the engineering rigour that turns good ideas into real products. A local tennis enthusiast herself, she's been embedded in Sydney's tennis community — identifying the friction points players and coaches face daily and building the systems to solve them properly.

“The problems are obvious once you're actually in the community. The hard part is building something that doesn't get in the way.”
