The park is the drawcard
Snape Park is one of the best-kept secrets in the eastern suburbs — a 15-acre park with a playground, BBQ areas, cricket and soccer fields, and plenty of open space. It's genuinely worth arriving early or staying late, especially if you're bringing family. Dogs are welcome in most of the park (just not inside the court fences).
Saturday morning parking takes planning
The park hosts cricket and soccer on Saturday mornings, so parking on Snape St and Percival St fills up fast. Weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons are much easier. If you're coming Saturday morning, arrive a few minutes early and check Hannan St for overflow.
The automated lighting system means you can play until 10–11pm without needing staff on-site. Just book online, and the gate and lights activate for your session.
Saturday parking
Snape Park also hosts cricket and soccer, so parking can get busy on Saturday mornings. Weekdays and evenings are generally fine.
Book the Wednesday round robin early
The Wednesday night social is popular — book by midnight the same day to guarantee your spot.
Play before 4pm for cheaper rates
Weekday court hire is $25/hr before 4pm vs $30/hr for evenings and weekends.
