Most people walk past Cooper Park without knowing the courts are down in the gully. It's a rainforest-style setting with a creek and birdsong, minutes from Bondi Junction.
Coffee over the creek
The on-site Cooper Clubhouse café sits right by the running water — a lovely spot for a post-hit breakfast or coffee.
Coaching is run on-site by Young Aces, with a strong junior pathway.
Mornings are the quietest time to get a feel for the place.

Before You Go
Come for an early hit
The gully is at its best first thing — calm, cool and quiet, with the café opening for coffee straight after your session.
Wind-sheltered courts
Unlike the exposed beachside venues, the forest setting keeps most of the wind off, so the ball flies true.
Watch the park paths at night
Access is through the bushland reserve. It's well-used but unlit in places — handy to have your phone torch after dark.
Café makes it a hang
The on-site Cooper Clubhouse does breakfast, bowls and good coffee, so it's easy to make a morning of it.
